FP7 Contact Point Training for EECA-Partner countries
One week project internal training visit for EECA partner countries Ukraine, Belarus and
Moldova. The event aimed at increasing the quality, quantity, profile and impact of bi-regional Science and Technology (S&T)
cooperation.

Aim and content
IncoNet EECA aims at increasing the quality, quantity, profile and impact of bi-regional Science and Technology (S&T)
cooperation between the Eastern European and Central Asian countries and the Member- and Associated States of the European Union (EU).
One of the means to accomplish the goals of IncoNet EECA lies in strengthening the participation of EECA partners in FP7.
In addition to a previous three day training session in EECA partner countries, a one week
training visit for EECA partner countries (Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova) was organised in Bonn, Germany, in October 2009. This training
workshop deepened the participants' knowledge about FP7 structure and instuments and highlighted those aspects of S&T cooperation, which
are of major interest to EECA countries.
The training workshop in Bonn pursued the following aspects:
- RTD-landscapes and synergies between EECA partners and Germany
- Deepen existing knowledge about and understanding of FP7 (Focus on KBBE, NMP (ICT))
- Specific information on selected thematic fields, which are of major interest for Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova
- Training in legal, financial and administrative aspects of FP7
- Tasks and skills of a NCP - Rise the capacity to consult researchers
- Project Management and communication in transnational projects
Participants
Participants from Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova were invited, specifically from
- Current FP7 Contact Points from EECA Partner Countries
- Potential FP7 Contact Points from EECA Partner Countries
Organisers
The training session was organised by the EECA project and namely the PT-DLR, Germany
(International Bureau in cooperation with the EU-Bureau). The contents of the training sessions were provided by the FP7 NCPS in
Germany.
This was a project internal training workshop.
The final agenda, presentations and other information regarding this workshop will be available
