Conference Thin Film Photovoltaics.
There are several drivers that account for the recent extraordinary growth in the global market for solar cells. These include increasing energy demand, security and cost of oil supplies as well as concerns over global warming. Approximately 90% of solar cell production is currently based on first generation crystalline silicon, but second generation solar cells based on thin film technology on inexpensive and lightweight substrates are now emerging and rapidly increasing their market share. This one day meeting provides a forum to help assess the current state of the art. It brings together a list of distinguished invited speakers whose expertise covers the available range of thin film technologies.
Data: 16 Sep 2009.
Organiser: The Ion and Plasma Surfaces Group of the Institute of Physics .
Place: London, United Kingdom.
