1) Department of Philology
Pursuant to the decision of the Academic Council of the University on 28 October 2003 in the structure Kolomiyskogo Institute established the Department of Humanities by 29 January 2008 was reorganized into the Department of Philology.
Research and teaching staff of the department provides education not only in the direction of "Philology (Ukrainian language and literature)", but also in other areas of training and specialties Institute, where reading courses in linguistic and literary disciplines. Educational and research work in the areas of training and qualifications of the Institute shall: Mikhail Kovalchuk, head of Technology; Nicholas Vasylchuk, candidate of philological sciences, associate professor; Les Kurylyak, candidate of philological sciences, associate professor; Eugene Lepohin, candidate of philological sciences, associate professor; Olga Rusakova, candidate of philological sciences, professor; Galina Voloshchuk, candidate of philological sciences, professor; Christina Nagovitsyn, candidate of philological sciences, professor; Orest Kavetsky, teacher; Olga Głowacki, teacher. A senior laboratory technician takes Helen Leader. Training is with students at the Department of Philology Institute attracted leading Professors and Associate Professor of the Institute of Philology SHEI "Vasyl Stefanyk Subcarpathian National University."
Decisive direction in the philology department staff - improving the quality of training of future philologists, teachers of Ukrainian language and literature, raising their general culture, improvement of the organization and conduct of teaching practice of students, the rise of the scientific research work of teachers.
2) Department of Pedagogy and Psychology
Pedagogy and Psychology Department was established on June 6, 2006 as the result of the division of the Humanities Department. Oksana Ivanivna Poyasyk (CSc in Pedagogy, associate professor) chairs it. The staff memebers provide training in the following areas of studies: 6.010102 Primary Education, 6.010201 Physical Education, 6.030102 Psychology; major in Primary Education 7.01010201, Physical education 7.01020101. They do also lecture for those students where they have some subjects related to psychology and pedagogy.
There are six staff members and a laboratory assistant enrolled in it: two CSc in Psychology, associate professor Mykytiuk G. Yu. and associate professor Petriv O. P.; CSc in Pedagogy, associate professor Poyasyk O. I.; senior teacher Yurchenko I. V.; master of sports of international class, nationally certified judge – Chepil M.V.
In 2007 Lappo V. V. joined the staff. In 2008 she defended her CSc thesis (13.00.08 – Preschool Pedagogy).
The students are also delivered the lectures by the teachers, part-time workers, from Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University itself.
The problem under the faculty’s scientific scrutiny is “Psychological and pedagogical aspects of ethno-cultural traditions”. The results of the studies have been published in the monograph “Western Ukraine: historical-cultural and ethno-linguistic aspects (2nd half XIX – XXI cc.)”
3) Department of socio-economic and natural sciences
